The Girl In The Trees

Eyes wide open, mouth closed shut

Feet on the ground, feeling love

The girl in the trees, she looked up

Mind wide open, screaming inside

Running away, wanting to feel alive

The boy on the mountain, he looked down

They're just playing hide with no-one to seek

They're just playing hide with no-one to seek

What a waste of a chance, if only they'd seen.

On different levels of the same ground

But she was too scared to climb and risk falling down

The boy on the mountain, alone he sat down

They're just playing hide with no-one to seek

They're just playing hide with no-one to seek

What a waste of a chance, if only they'd seen.

With his smoke on the hill, he was easily found

By a girl who was braver and knew what she'd found

The girl in the trees still waits to be found

She's just playing hide with no-one to seek

She's just playing hide with no-one to seek

What a waste of a chance, if only she'd seen.
